Introduce

Daur Subur adalah sebuah studi mengenai kebudayaan yang berkembang di masyarakat pertanian, di Solok secara khusus dan Sumatera Barat secara umum. Daur Subur berupaya menggali aspek pengetahuan dari beragam peristiwa kebudayaan masyarakat pertanian, keberlangsungannya, dan mengemasnya untuk memahami persoalan hari ini. Program ini diinisiasi oleh Komunitas Gubuak Kopi pada tahun 2017, melibatkan partisipan dari beragam disiplin, berkolaborasi, medokumentasikan, dan mengembangan praktik seni sebagai metode memahami kesalingkaitan persoalan dan produksi wacana.

Pada lokakarya kali ini, Daur Subur secara spesifik merespon lokasi Kampung Jawa. Sebuah kelurahan di Kota Solok, yang diisi dan dihidupi oleh beragam etnis, sepert Jawa, Minang, Batak, dan Keling (India) yang kemudian disebut warga dengan istilah JAMBAK. Kehadiran beragam etnis ini, kesadaran bermedia, situasi kebudayaan global dan nasional, dan usur lainnya turut mempengaruhi wajah kampung kecil di pebukitan Sumatera ini. Menarik melihat Kampung Jawa sebagai lokasi dan subjek yang dinamis. Lokakarya ini mengundang sejumlah anak muda dari beragam latar disiplin untuk memahami dan mengartikuliasi kesalingkaitan itu melalui peristiwa kecil di Kampung Jawa; menggali pengetahuan lokal, baik itu tentang pertanian yang aman, pengobatan, narasi spiritual, sirkulasi sampah dan air, serta melakukan pertemuan-pertemuan ke rumah-rumah warga. 

 

Additional Class

One of the class series in the #6 Subur Subur Workshop in Kampung Jawa, Solok will present MG Pringgotono to share on the topic “Our waste, our responsibility”. MG will invite us to get to know various waste management practices, or respond to waste issues in the frame of art or the creative economy.

In this series of classes in the Daur Subur workshop series, we will talk with Muhammad Sibawaihi from the Pasirputih Foundation or better known as the Pasirputih Community. A non-profit organization and citizen initiative for media literacy in grassroots communities, in North Lombok. This group have been participating in many activities and programs that involve residents in responding to local problems, as well as mediating collaboration between artists and residents.

This series of classes and focused discussions invites participants to rethink the model of activism in engaging the community and encouraging citizens to be the initiators of this change.

Daur Subur Workshop class series #6. This session presented Ismal Muntaha, an cultural activist from Jatiwangi Art Factory and one of the initiators of the establishment of Badan Kajian Pertanahan. A research group that focuses on studies and speculative works on land issues through research and artistic practice in the Jatiwangi area. In this session, Ismal will share his process and projects with the Badan Kajian Pertanahan.

Facilitator

Albert Rahman Putra (b. Solok, 1991), or Albert, is a curator, writer, and collective activist. He is founder of Gubuak Kopi Community. His first book “Sore Kelabu di Selatan Singkarak” was published by Forum Lenteng in 2018. He is the manager of Orkes Taman Bunga music group and the artistic board of Rumah Tamera – Solok Creative Hub. He is interested in environment studies, history, music, and media activity.

Biki wabihamdika (Tanggerang, 1996) lives in Gantuang Ciri, Solok Regency. He graduates from Karawitan Art study of the Indonesia Institute of The Arts of Padangpanjang. He is a composer and recently he starts focusing on the soundscape. Apart from doing music projects, he is actively involved in Gubuak Kopi Community. Previously, Biki was also active in several music groups such as Etnic Percution Padangpanjang, Bangkang Baraka, and Autotune production. Besides that, he was also involved in a bi-weekly discussion called Otarabumalam. He is also a collaborator of Kurun Niaga Project 2019.

Hafizan or usuallu called Spizs is an visual artist from Padang, West Sumatera. He is a member of Belanak Art Community, and also active to works with Gubuak Kopi Community, and joined in Rumah Tamera –  Solok Creative Hub. In 2017,  he involved as a participant artist in Daur Subur Program, wich conducted by Gubuak Kopi Community. Since that time he actively join as facilitator for Daur Subur Program. In 2018, he involved as a participant of residency artis in Media Art Project: Lapuak-lapuak Dikajangi #2. In 2020, hes was involved as special collaborator in Tenggara Festival.

M. Biahlil Badri (1996) is a writer who are interested in cultural issue, history, and environment. He is one of the founders of Rumah Tamera – Solok Creative Hub; a space for collaboration of artists and creative activists in Solok and West Sumatera. He is also one of the members of Gubuak Kopi. Currently, he is actively managing @solokmilikwarega account, an archiving method via Instagram. He is also a drummer of Rumah Tamera band project named PAPAN IKLAN.

Muhammad Riski, or also called Sayahallo0, is a street artist from Solok. He is a member of the Gubuak Kopi Community and one of the founders of Rumah Tamera – Solok Creative Hub. He is also actively involved in various art projects conducted by Gubuak Kopi Community since 2016. Besides that, he carries out a music project with Rumah Tamera – Solok Creative Hub. This project takes the form of a band called Papan Iklan. Sayhallo0 actively makes mural, stencil, collage, and various D.I.Y graphic arts. At Tenggara Street Art Festival 2020, as part of the host, he made some artworks and mentored stencil workshop sessions for West Sumatra teenagers. He was also involved in “Mural Estafet Menuju Tenggara” (Estafet of Mural Towards Tenggara). This pra-festival program presented 4 street artist from Solok who made a mural in panel boxes simultaneously in 4 places in Solok. He also made a mural in one sidewall of the Tenggara Street Art Festival’s main stage at Taman Pramuka, Solok city.

Volta Ahmad Jonneva (Kinari,1995) graduated from Fine Art study, Faculty of Language and Art of Universitas Negeri Padang. He is the director of Rumah Tamera – Solok Creative Hub; a space for collaboration of young artists in West Sumatera. He has been active as one of Gubuak Kopi members since 2015. He is one of the founders of Layar Kampus, an initiative space for alternative cinema in the campus. In 2018, he was involved as part of curatorial team on “Kultursinema” exhibition, ARKIPEL– Jakarta International Documentary and Experimental Film Festival. In 2019, he is the curator of a sticker exhibition named “Lem In Aja”, organized with Rumah Ragam in Padang City. He is one of the participants in Milisifilem program of Forum Lenteng, Jakarta.

Teguh Wahyundri (Solok City, 1996) graduates from Visual Communication Design of Universitas Negeri Padang. Currently he focuses his activity and study in Gubuak kopi. Since the past few years, he has been actively producing artworks. In 2018, he participated in Pekan Raya Visual at Taman Budaya, West Sumatra. In 2019, he participated a sticker exhibition titled “LEM IN AJA” in Rumah Ragam, Padang. In the same year, he participated in an exhibition in Naluri Coffee Shop. His final assignment or thesis exhibition was held on in the gallery of the Faculty of Language and Art in Universitas Negeri Padang.

Participants/Collaborator

Alfin Zernindo Prima, mahasiswa tingkat akhir di Jurusan Teknik Lingkungan Unand. Aktif sebagai relawan di Lembaga Masyarakat Relawan Indonesia (MRI) – Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) Sumatera Barat sejak 2019. Tahun 2020 ia juga berkegitan di Etalase Sedekah hingga sekarang. Dan sejak 2020 hingga sekarang ia juga aktif berkegiatan di OrangUfriend Padang, sebuah komunitas yang bergerak pada perlindungan hewan dan konservasi alam. Aldo juga terlibat sebagai partisipan dalam Lokakarya Daur Subur #6 di Kampung Jawa, Solok, 2021.

Mahasiswa di Univetsitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Imam Bonjol Padang dengan konsentrasi Komunikasi Penyiaran Islam. Aktif berkegiatan di LPM Suara Kampus, serta penerima beasiswa liputan oleh Serikat Jurnalis untuk Keberagaman (Sejuk).

Alfi Syukri mahasiswa Pasca Sarjana prodi Hukum Keluarga di UIN Imam Bonjol, Padang. Saat ini mengabdi di LBH Padang, ikut serta mengadvokasi kasus-kasus hukum struktural. Selain itu, juga aktif di sebuah komunal bernama Sekolah Gender. Secara keseluruhan kegiatan Alfi fokus mengedukasi dan mengorganisir masyarakat agar berdaya tentang keadilan gender dan keberagam bergama.

Amelia Putri (Padang Pariaman, 1993) biasa disapa Amel. Mewakafkan diri sebagai relawan kemanusiaan sejak tahun 2017. Hingga sekarang terlibat di bidang Disaster Emergency Relief Management, sebuah lembaga respon bencana di ACT (Aksi Cepat Tanggap) Sumbar. Juga Aktif berkegiatan di Literasi dan konservasi di OrangUfriend Padang. Awal 2021, ia bergabung di Komunitas Seni Dangau Studio. Amel juga murupakan partisipan Lokakarya Daur Subur #6 di Kampung Jawa, Solok, 2021.

Khairul Hatta, lulusan Seni Karawitan ISI Padangpanjang tahun 2020. Ketua umum Ethnic Percussion sejak tahun 2017 hingga sekarang. Aktif berkegiatan di MAPALA ISI Padangpanjang. Personel band Good Morning Ska. Aktif berkesenian bersama Opera Batak, dan juga mementaskannya di berbagai Negara, salah satunya Vietnam dan Malaisya. Hatta juga merupakan partisipan Lokakarya Daur Subur #6 di Kampung Jawa, Solok.

Neneng Nora Hastuti (Abai, 1996), atau lebih dikenal dengan Noura Arifin. Salah satu anggota Orangufriends Padang. Sempat berkuliah di Universitas Gunadarma, dan sekarang tercatat sebagai mahasiswa aktif di Univeristas Islam Negeri (UIN) Imam Bonjol Padang. Dan juga redaktur di sebuah Lembaga Pers Mahasiswa: Suara Kampus. Saat ini selain di Suara Kampus, ia juga mengelola dan mengembangkan media komunitas KampartraPost. Noura juga terlibat sebagai partisipan Lokakarya Daur Subur #6 di Kampung Jawa, Solok, 2021.

Asmar Nanda, biasa disapa Nanduik atau Tangka, lahir di Bukittinggi 28 Mei 1994. Penah kuliah di AMPTA (Ambarrukmo Palace Tourism Academy) Jogja. Selama di Jogja ia menetap dan berkegiatan di Surau Tuo Institut Jogja 2015-2018. Sekarang ia aktif di Lembaga Prima Bina Potensia Bukittinggi, sebuah lembaga yang berfokus pada kesehatan mental. Nanda juga merupakan partisipan Lokakarya Daur Subur #6 di Kampung Jawa, Solok, 2021

Arfan Nanda, (Solok, 1995) Lulusan manajemen Universitas Bung Hatta 2020, Demisioner Ketua HMJ manajemen fakultas ekonomi dan bisnis periode 2017/2018, Kabid PTKM  HmI komisariat ekonomi sipil ubh 2017, kabid PU HmI komisariat ekonomi sipil ubh 2018. Dan pernah mengikuti berbagai lembaga survey yang ada disumbar dari tahun 2017 sampai akhir 2020. Aktif sebagai anggota biasa HMMI tahun 2018 sampai sekarang. Arfan juga terlibat sebagai partisipan Lokakarya Daur Subur #6 di Kampung Jawa, Solok, 2021.

Salistio Erisa Putra (Solok,1997) Tamatan Pembangunan Universitas Bung Hatta 2020,  lulusan Ekonomi Demisioner Ketua BEM FEB UBH 2018-2019, koordinator  wilayah Ikatan Senat Mahasiswa Ekonomi (ISMEI) wilayah Sumbar, Riau, Jambi, Kepri hingga 2021 dan ketua BPD Himpuman mahasiswa pengusaha Indonesia (HIMAPINDO) hingga 2021, serta aktif sebagai penggiat kampung Cupak mandiri (Kab.Solok).
