The Institute for the Development of Arts and Media Knowledge: Gubuak Kopi, or better known as the Gubuak Kopi Community, a non-profit cultural organization based in Solok, was founded in 2011. This group focuses on research and development of art and media knowledge in the local city of Solok, West Sumatra. Gubuak Kopi produces and distributes media literacy knowledge through creative activities, organizes collaborations between professionals (artists, writers, and researchers) and residents in responding to local environmental and cultural issues, develops alternative media and archiving systems, and builds space for youth capacity development.
